Survey Studio QR codes allow your guests to complete the survey on their own mobile device.

QR codes can be displayed in a variety of ways in your restaurant or on food packaging

When a guest asks for their check, point out the QR code and explain how they can give feedback on their service.

Similarly when a guest collects their order in-house ensure to point out the QR code on their takeaway and explain how they can give feedback on their service.

Active Team Engagement

Integrating the feedback process effectively into your in-person service flow is the most effective way to engage guests.

It is key for the service team to hand something to the customer such as:

  • BBI devices as a digital bill

  • Printed bill/check presenter

  • Cards stapled to receipts

What you team says when presenting the QR code to customers also has a significant impact.

Choosing your QR code design & placement

Use strong colours, interesting shapes to stick out in busy environments

Simple and uncluttered designs with a focus on the message work best

A clear, compelling and provocative call to action is key.

Examples:

  • “Scan & review!”

  • “Rate your plate!”

  • “1-Minute review”

  • “Food reviewers wanted!”

  • “How was it for you?”

  • “What was your favourite/worst dish?”

  • “Help us get better”

  • “As good as usual?”

For each style of service it is very important to ensure that the messaging is visible to your customers at the right time.

QR codes should be positioned to catch the eye of the diner both in venue and on packaging.

Prompting the customer as close to the end of the meal as possible is ideal.

Be sure not to place QR codes or messaging where they can be ripped or torn on packaging
